QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE: An Early Years/childcare qualification Level 3 or above.

Purple Dove recruitment are currently looking for enthusiastic, creative and passionate Level 3 Nursery Nurses to embark on their journey, at a nursery in Maida Vale. The nurseries goal is to provide premium childcare in a safe and stimulating environment where children and staff feel happy, safe, and valued. The nursery can accommodate up to 51 children divided into 4 small groups according to their age.

Salary paying up to £27,000 per annum (salary reviewed every year)

Full time, Permanent position, Monday-Thursday shifts between 7.30am to 6pm and Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm, 40 hours a week.

The role:

  • Working as a key person to build strong relationships with both children and their families.
  • Planning stimulating and fun activities whilst closely following the Early Years curriculum.
  • Observing children and recording early years milestone.
  • Be a good role model to the children.
  • Encouraging learning through meaningful play.
  • Working to maintain Health & Safety and Safeguarding Practices within the setting.
  • Creating a fun, safe and warm environment where children can flourish and grow.
  • To attend out of working hours activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents evenings and special events.
  • To be involved in team planning appropriate activities to ensure that the children’s developmental needs are met.
  • To contribute to the observation and assessment of the children’s developmental stages, recording this on the relevant documents.
  • To work flexibly as part of the larger nursery team, assisting and supporting colleagues
    wherever required in order to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

Essential qualities and qualifications of Nursery Nurse:

  • An Early Years/childcare qualification Level 3 or above.
  • Knowledge of how to correctly feed a baby, prepare their bottles and change nappies.
  • Good understanding of the weaning stages and to work closely with the parents to support the child with weaning.
  • Good understanding how babies learn and develop, being able to create a warm, stimulating environment for them.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • A passion for childcare and a full understanding of the EYFS.
  • Experience of using a tablet for reports would be useful but not essential.
