QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE: a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Early Years Education.

Will consider unqualified - but Nursery experience is essential!

Purple Dove Recruitment is very excited to be recruiting for a private day nursery with excellent facilities and a team of dedicated professionals. We have several vacancies for Level 3 Nursery Nurses, across two nursery settings, in Putney and Southfields/Wimbledon. 

Salaries:

  • LEVEL 3's with over 1 year experience up to £31,000 + £1000 performance related bonus.

  • We only promote internally. A Senior Nursery Teacher can earn up to £33,600 per year and Junior Managers £43,600 per year. We promoted 20 staff in the last 12 months!

Working hours: Full time, Monday-Friday; 7:15am-5:15pm / 8am-6pm / 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hour lunch break + 15 min coffee/tea break)

The Role:

  • Liaise with parents and other staff members.
  • Plan and implement the daily routine in the room.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Be aware of nursery standards and policies and make sure they are met.
  • Be a key worker and take responsibility for their records, learning and general care.
  • Be confident in your profession.
  • Plan and prepare daily activities meeting the curriculum planning according to EYFS.
  • To take observations on your key children ensuring confidentiality.
  • Changing nappies or toileting, tidying room and cleaning equipment.
  • To ensure all children are happy and well cared for and their individual needs are being met.
  • Shifts are 9 days on then 1 day off within 2 week rota.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • A positive and dedicated attitude and a real passion for childcare and development.
  • Being able to provide and sustain a caring environment.
  • Being able to work a 40 hour week.
  • Have a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Early Years Education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Previous 1-2 years experience in nursery setting.
