QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE: a minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Childcare and Early Years Education.
Salaries:
- LEVEL 3 with over 1 year experience up to £31,000 plus £1000 performance related bonus.
- LEVEL 2 -£24,600 plus £1000 performance related bonus plus full paid training to complete L3 course.

Working hours: We work on a rota/shift system.
The shift patterns are: Monday-Friday; 7:15am-5:15pm / 8am-6pm / 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hour lunch break + 15 min coffee/tea break). You have 1 day off every 2 weeks.
The Role:
- Liaise with parents and other staff members.
- Plan and implement the daily routine in the room.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Be aware of nursery standards and policies and make sure they are met.
- Be a key worker and take responsibility for their records, learning and general care.
- Be confident in your profession.
- Plan and prepare daily activities meeting the curriculum planning according to EYFS.
- To take observations on your key children ensuring confidentiality.
- Changing nappies or toileting, tidying room and cleaning equipment.
- To ensure all children are happy and well cared for and their individual needs are being met.
- Shifts are 9 days on then 1 day off within 2 week rota.
THE CANDIDATE:
- A positive and dedicated attitude and a real passion for childcare and development.
- Being able to provide and sustain a caring environment.
- Being able to work a 45 hour week with 1 hour for lunch and 15 minutes for break.
- Have a minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Childcare and Early Years Education.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Previous 1-2 years experience in nursery setting.
